Steam Railway Locomotives of Great Britain that proudly carried the name "Malta" from 1901 to 1961

Many locomotives in the British Isles were given names by the railway companies, these names were often commemorating famous people, places, buildings, warships and in the case of the following were named after countries that had a British connection. It is interesting to note that the locomotives of The Malta Railway (1883 - 1931) never carried names.
