Skinners of Oxted, Surrey operated coaches from 1967 for 52 years until 31st December 2019, they ran a full programme of Day Excursions in the U.K. and to France and Belgium, also Holidays within the U.K. and to Europe plus school contract work, private hire and rail replacement work. Skinners also operated the local bus route 540 using minibuses between Oxted, Woldingham, Caterham, Chaldon, Merstham, Redhill and East Surrey Hospital from 1986 to 1988. Wendy and I travelled on very many day excursions and also enjoyed holidays to Austria, Switzerland and North Wales with Skinners.

I have produced this website as a tribute to Skinners of Oxted, and within these pages I am showing some of my own photos of Skinners coaches on a variety of work, day trips to the countryside and seaside and also on day trips to Bruges and Ostend, holidays to Austria and Switzerland and to North Wales. There are photos of Skinners operating the route 540 buses around Woldingham, Botley Hill, Caterham and Chaldon. Rail replacement work on the Oxted Line. Private hire at Warlingham and Caterham. Also some items of publicity and much more. Please step back in time with my memories.
