ROUTE BUS TICKETS FROM THE MALTESE ISLANDS

Electronic ticketing on the routebuses of Malta was introduced on 21st July 2003. Ticket machines at the main bus terminals, issued small card bus tickets and plastic smart cards, similar to credit cards and telephone cards. Machines on the route buses issued thermal printed paper tickets. Sadly some of these tickets fade over time.

Travel tickets issued from the electronic ticket machines at Bugibba, Sliema and Valletta Bus Station.

ONE ZONE Lm 00.15 ticket issued on the first day of the elctronic ticketing on bus EBY558 on route 11. Ticket kindly donated to me by my friend Joseph Grixti.
